a logo is essential to any business, product or service, encapsulating its essence in a graphic image using colour and design. It needs to be strong and simple, and must retain visibility throughout the wide variety of media used in advertisements and marketing plans.
A well designed logo, accompanied by a strategic marketing plan, will result in people merely glancing at the logo and immediately being able to identify the company.
Alongside logo development is the imaging for the company - the specifications for logo use and reproduction, all stationery (business cards, letterheads, envelopes, compliment slips, etc) layout templates for advertising, etc.
Although a logo should remain constant, aspects of the imaging (such as predominant use of a colour or shape or photo) can be changed regularly (usually on an annual basis) keeping a company's image consistent yet fresh and modern.
